How to Prepare for Your Boudoir Session: A Step-by-Step Guide

So, you’ve booked your boudoir session—yay! Now you might be wondering, "What do I need to do to prepare?" Don’t worry, babe, I’ve got you covered. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to get ready for your session so you can walk in feeling confident, empowered, and totally prepared.

1. Hydrate, Eat, and Rest Like the Goddess You Are

Boudoir sessions are an experience, and believe me, they’re a bit of a workout too! You’ll be moving, stretching, and holding poses, so here’s how to prep your body:

✅ Drink plenty of water the day before and on the morning of your session—hydration gives your skin that extra glow!

✅ Eat a balanced meal or snacks before your shoot. No starving yourself, girl! You’ll need the energy to slay those poses.

✅ Get a good night’s sleep so you wake up feeling fresh and radiant.

2. What to Bring: Essentials & Extras

To keep things smooth and easy, make sure to bring the following:

✔️ A nude or black thong—this works best under any outfits you try from my client closet.

✔️ A water bottle or tumbler—stay hydrated, babe!

✔️ Any accessories, jewelry, or heels that make you feel extra fabulous.

✔️ A sentimental piece—some clients love bringing their partner’s shirt, a piece of lingerie with special meaning, or even something fun like a book or sports jersey!

3. Pamper Yourself: Hair, Skin, and Nails

✨ Arrive with a clean, moisturized face and dry, clean hair. My pro makeup artist will take it from there!

✨ Make sure your nails are polished or clean. No chipped polish, please—it’s a pain to edit! Moisturize your skin the night before and bring lotion to apply right before the session for that healthy glow.

✨ Shave or wax any areas you prefer to be hair-free. If you’re getting a Brazilian wax, do a trial run at least six weeks before your session to avoid any unexpected skin reactions.

4. The Outfit Game Plan

Not sure what to wear? Don’t stress! I provide personal styling and access to my client closet, full of gorgeous lingerie pieces that flatter all body types. I’ll help you choose outfits that fit your style and body perfectly!💃 Bring at least 1 of your favorite pieces that make you feel sexy and confident.💃 Don’t forget about bodysuits, lace robes, oversized sweaters, or even a sheer top—they photograph beautifully!

5. What Not to Do

🚫 Don’t wear tight clothing before your session. Clothing can leave marks on your skin that take time to fade. Stick to loose, comfy outfits beforehand.

🚫 No excessive alcohol or substances before your shoot. I provide one alcoholic beverage if you'd like to enjoy a little liquid courage, but intoxication is not allowed. If you arrive overly impaired, I reserve the right to dismiss the session without a refund. Your safety, comfort, and ability to pose are my top priorities!

🚫 No negative self-talk! This is a body-positive space. I’m here to hype you up and show you just how stunning you truly are.

6. The Most Important Thing: Have FUN!
